Dear Crossroads Family,
As we head into the Christmas Season my hope and prayer for you is that this will be a season of joy and gratitude. I’m praying that this is the year when the busyness and distractions of the season don’t drown out the beauty and splendor of what Christmas is all about: God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son!
We have an incredible opportunity this month to share the message of God’s love. On December 23rd & 24th there will be 5 Christmas Eve Services where the message of the Gospel will be clearly proclaimed through Christ-centered Songs, Scripture Readings and Message. The times of the Christmas Eve services are as follows:
December 23 – 5:30 & 7 PM
December 24 – 4, 5:30 & 7 PM
We hope to see you at one of these services, and don’t forget to invite friends and family that don’t have a Church home to attend. We will have plenty of space for them and would love to meet them!
Also, I wanted to make sure you are aware of a few opportunities for year-end giving. Most non-profit organizations depend on year-end giving to help meet their annual budget needs and Churches are no different. Here are the options for this year’s Christmas Year End Giving opportunity:
General Budget: Although this is not flashy, at Crossroads our budget reflects the heart of every ministry’s priority. Our budget supports our ongoing Kids and Student Ministries, Sunday Worship Services, Community Groups, Wednesday Evening Discipleship, and dozens of mission organizations both locally and globally that are being used by God to expand His Kingdom in the world. You may not be aware of this, but 10% of each dollar that is donated to Crossroads Church goes directly to missions. The reality is, the General Budget is the Mission Budget because it funds the mission of Crossroads Church.
Church Planting: God’s primary plan for making disciples is by planting new Churches around the world. With this Biblical understanding, Crossroads Church is going to start emphasizing the planting of new Churches as one of our missions focuses moving forward in the years to come. We are currently in conversations with two church planting opportunities, one in Long Beach, CA and the other in Spain. Please be in prayer for these Church Planters as they follow Christ’s command to go into “all the world and make disciples of every nation.”
Chosen 1:27: This is a ministry based on James 1:27 which reminds us as followers of Christ to care for orphans. Our main purpose is to support families who have chosen to foster or adopt children by providing for some of their physical needs, along with many other needs they may have. We want them to know that they do not have to do this alone.
Here’s how to participate: You can give specifically to one or more of the ministry options, or you can give a gift without designation. Undesignated gifts will be directed to the General Budget. For end of year tax purposes, all gifts most be either postmarked or electronically posted by December 31, 2025 to count towards this year’s taxes. If you’d like more details about specific opportunities, I’d be glad to discuss that with you.
Christmas Offering envelopes are available in the lobby on Sundays and can be dropped into any of the offering boxes in the Worship Center or mailed in to the office. Giving online is easy and secure and can be completed here on our website using the button below.
